I’ve been badly slack about reading many blogs recently, so it was only last week that I stumbled across a post by Sexland Alice, and found it delightfully hot and exciting! Describing herself as a bi-sexual swinger, with a disarming style, she tells stories of sexy exploits, past and present. Alice’s site is a fascinating place to browse around.
To introduce yourself, please tell us one possession which you treasured as a child (0-10)
I was a huge Barbie fangirl, and I had one with a little blonde bob and some jeans and a crop top. I adored her and she came everywhere with me!
Describe your blog using 3 words:
Sexy, kinky, honest.
Could you expand your description a little:
All my posts are true whether they’re historical, something that happened recently or a kinky dream I had. I treat it a little like a diary – it’s important to me that it’s authentic. I wouldn’t consider myself a “writer” by any means so honesty is important to me.
Is this your first attempt / foray into blogging? What attracted you to the genre of blog you’ve chosen?
Sort of. When I was younger I had a tumblr and I did create content for it, but it was largely me sharing stuff I liked. Way, way back I had a MySpace as well – I remember writing blog posts for that. I can’t actually remember what I wrote about then – probably boys – I think I’m better off not knowing.
I always seek out sexy content myself. I love erotica, porn or any sex/love based blogs. Also don’t they say “write what you know”? When I turned 30 (a year ago) I was talking to a girlfriend who knew I was bi and a swinger. She’d often ask me to tell her what I had been up to recently. She was the first to suggest that I should start a blog.
What 3 keywords do you use when you’re looking for kinky inspiration?
I generally search for the words/phrases: swingers, real sex or true erotica.
If you were stranded on a desert island (with no power issues) name 3 things you would want to have with you (for instance kinky accessory / partner / book / film)
Ooooh, this is a difficult one. I’d definitely take my husband Wes because he’s my best friend. My rabbit vibrator is a must and definitely my phone to take pictures and write…
You’re in a drag or burlesque act – what’s your stage name?
Damn I’d love to be good at Burlesque! Choosing names is so hard, I’d probably go for something like Alice Savannah – that sound’s a little “porny” but I’m ok with that!
Which do you think evokes stronger memories – music or smell?
Please share an anecdote:
Definitely music! Early last year a friend of mine gave me some stripping lessons – I just wanted to be good at it for home, I used a particular dance song. Whenever I hear that song now I’m likely to start swaying and stripping my clothes off! Music is hot!
You can invite anyone (dead or alive) round for dinner; name 5 guests and tell us why:
Well I’d have my husband again. Marilyn Monroe because she’s a queen, my girlfriend Suzi because she’d be really pissed if I didn’t include her. Elvis so he can sing to us and probably Scarlett Johansson, because my god would I like some time with her!
Have you ever done something sexual in a public place? Spill!
Oh yeah multiple times in all kinds of places. My favourite was with my hubby on a nudist beach. It had got to about 6.00 and the light was beginning to fade. Most people had left the beach and we were pretty hidden away. We kissed and got carried away in the moment. The next thing I knew I was on top of him riding him. It was seriously hot and a memory I often recall.
Is there a blogger who inspired you to set up your site? Why?
Not so much at the time. I had read certain posts that I loved but didn’t really follow many sex bloggers. There are a lot now though which I’ve found off Twitter and Medium etc.
Now you are a blogger, what’s your ‘go to site’? What draws you to it?
WordPress is still my go to. I follow loads and loads of really cool blogs, so my feed is always buzzing with amazing, sexy content.
Quick Fire questions:
Temperature or Impact Play: Impact. Spank me now!
Chocolate or alcohol: I love chocolate but it has to be alcohol. So many great stories start with a drink.
Professional porn or amateur (genuine porn): Definitely amateur. I hate the look and style of pro porn. Reality is much sexier. Also need to say here that I love anime porn.
Stinging nettles or brambles: Both are just the absolute worst! Can I say neither please?
Quickie or sleepy sex: Quickie. I adore quickies.
Coffee or tea: Coffee. I drink loads (too much of it).
Play sport or watch sport? Neither. I like swimming that’s about it.
How do you see your blog progressing – hopes and dreams?
To be honest I enjoy writing it and that’s all I really hope for. I’d like to see the views grow, but it’s doing well so I have no complaints really.
You’ve been so generous to share, let me return the favour. Tell me a “tool/aspect of blogging” about which you need a better grasp.
Ahh, thank you… I think the thing I find the hardest is: I only really use Twitter to promote it. I don’t like Facebook but would love to find any other avenues to get my blog out in to the world.
I’ll provide some information and bloggers reading this can add input via the comments.
Twitter is a good tool for promoting, especially if you use some key-words with hashtags within your tweets, they’ll grab attention and may involve your tweet in trends.
Joining in with writing and photography memes also increases your readership, but you need to reciprocate – viewing and commenting on the blogs of other people participating in the same memes as you. This builds you a network of like-minded connections.
