Interview a Blogger : Joseph Wicke, Indie Author

It’s no secret that I love to read, and tales which combine the erotic and supernatural appeal to me greatly. Here’s one which hooked me and reeled me in.

It was an ordinary night for Issabella. A shot of espresso, green face paint, lace bra, panties and the little black purse of exorcism to-go. The Thompson house on North Orchard, another demon, another job. Issabella was no ordinary woman, she was a demon huntress. She knew all their tricks, at least most of them. Catching a low-level Fallen was easy. Truth be told, most were dumb as rocks, and though some quite handsome, it was still a dirty, sexy occupation and someone had to do it

You wanna catch a beast? Tame it, but don’t get involved. That was the code.

This (an extract from Chapter 1) is how I first discovered indie author and my latest interview subject, Joseph Wicke. Read more to familiarise yourself too.

To introduce yourself, please tell us one possession which you treasured as a child (0-10)

My imagination. 😉  Probably my collection of monster models. My bike.

Describe your blog using 3 words:

Funny, Sexual, Imaginative

Could you expand your description a little:

Always having an interest in fantasy, monsters, and all things sexy.  I’ve always felt like a lone wolf. Always knowing I was different, because writers are different from normal people. I’ve been writing stories for years and this blog gives me a chance to express myself publicly. My writing usually fits into one or more of the three categories above. Now I’m working on my first book. The Taming of the Fallen.

Is this your first attempt / foray into blogging? What attracted you to the genre of blog you’ve chosen?

No, I blogged before, but it was years ago. I find it exciting, that being an adult I have a forum to express myself in an adult, sexual and humorous manner. It also gives me a chance to show off my graphic design work.

What 3 keywords do you use when you’re looking for kinky inspiration?

Mature, Cosplay, Role play, Foreplay, Breakfast recipes. Sorry.. Oops that was five.

If you were stranded on a desert island (with no power issues) name 3 things you would want to have with you (for instance kinky accessory / partner / book / film)

  1. My laptop (with wifi) So I could write.
  2. A sexy woman who also writes erotica. (I fantasize about sharing stories and trying ideas out together)
  3. A Terry Pratchett book

You’re in a drag or burlesque act – what’s your stage name?

Ha! Ahhh… Wicked-Wicke? Wait… call me Musk Winter. OK I suck at this question.

There I made a shiny new graphic of my new stage name. Lol.

Which do you think evokes stronger memories – music or smell?
Please share an anecdote:

Music gets me every time. I remember recently I was flipping radio stations and the old song “Sailing” by Christopher Cross came on. I spent one whole summer of my youth at my mother’s workplace. It was a huge building and I had the privilege of having a small (play) room to hang out in on one of the upper floors. The radio was my only companion and I remember that song playing constantly as I looked out a big bay window to the streets below. It takes me back to a time that I felt powerless, I didn’t want to be there. I spent a lot of time staring out the window, watching people, watching life go by. It actually makes me incredibly sad to hear that song. Music is powerful.

You can invite anyone (dead or alive) round for dinner; name 5 guests and tell us why

Edgar Allan Poe, because he’s Poe. I’d shake him and tell him, “One day you are going to be super famous.”

Jim Henson, because I’m sure I would find him fascinating

Marilyn Monroe, I would try and save her.

Terry Pratchett, because he was an amazing writer.

John Lennon, I would love to hear him talk philosophy.

And too many more.

Have you ever done something sexual in a public place? Spill!

I once made love with a woman, under a piano, in a restaurant. The restaurant was closed at the time.

Is there a blogger who inspired you to set up your site? Why?

Well, you Posy, inspired me, and helped me with Twitter. 🙂  Thank you.

Now you are a blogger, what’s your ‘go to site’? What draws you to it?

My WordPress reader. I love seeing what everyone else is up to. There are some wonderful people and some wicked erotic stories and poetry.

It’s so hard to choose just one blog, but I also read mrsfever.com. Shes a really interesting gal. I’m drawn to her honest, humorous (and sexy) posts

Quick Fire questions:

Temperature or Impact Play : light impact, I prefer sexy role play

Quickie or sleepy sex :   Sleepy sex (if it involves seducing someone who is asleep till they’re awake and all hot and turned on)

Coffee or tea :   Coffee, French press

Play sport or watch sport : Play

How do you see your blog progressing – hopes and dreams?

With many more readers, and more sexy silly posts leading up to my first book being published. Please check out my blog https://josephwicke.wordpress.com

You’ve been so generous to share, let me return the favour. Tell me a “tool/aspect of blogging” about which you need a better grasp.

I’ll provide some information and bloggers reading this can add input via the comments.

Probably the marketing aspect. I seem to have so little time as it is. And that little time is spent writing.

Thank you for interviewing me Posy.

Thank you for sharing Joseph!
