Welcoming Kinky Wife to the Mic : Interview a Blogger

August’s interview subject is Mrs K. She hails from Canada & her blog’entitled Life of a Kinky Wife is a mixture of content depicting her life as a submissive wife, plus a pinch of saucy fiction. I have enjoyed dipping into her posts frequently, so it was a no-brainer to select her to ‘bare all’ in my new blogger feature.

To introduce yourself, please tell us one possession which you treasured as a child
(0-10)

My journal. The first was a pink one with a tiny lock. I loved it like it held the world’s secrets to life. Maybe, in a way it did….

Describe your blog using 3 words:

Unconventional, quirky and perverted (basically, kinky!)
Could you expand your description a little:
I write about BDSM, D/s, life as a wife and throw some fun stuff in to keep it interesting

Is this your first attempt / foray into blogging? What attracted you to the genre of blog
you’ve chosen?

This is my first blog, but not my first blogging idea. I am drawn to the sex blogging community because, well sex… and also, I can be me, 100%.

What 3 keywords do you use when you're looking for kinky inspiration?
Erotica, real-life sex scenarios, oral foreplay

If you were stranded on a desert island (with no power issues) name 3 things you would want to have with you (for instance kinky accessory / partner / book / film)

Mister K, because he could build/make me anything and well, he’s nice to look at.
A video camera, because when we get off (I mean that in every sense of the word), there will be money to be made, and seriously, nobody will believe our story without proof.
My toy bag – free time and nobody around sounds like most of my fantasies coming true!

You’re in a drag or burlesque act – what’s your stage name?

Charlie Red (IDK why, it just is)

Which do you think evokes stronger memories – music or smell?
Please share an anecdote:

Music creates memories you want to remember, smell creates memories you never want to forget.

You can invite anyone (dead or alive) round for dinner; name 5 guests and tell us why

Mahatma Ghandi (to teach me about discipline)
Amelia Earhart (to teach me about adventure)
Greta Thunberg (to remind me that doing what is right isn’t always easy and that those speaking the truth should never be silenced)
Leonardo DaVinci (I have questions…that is all)
Rosa Parks (I think she could teach me a few things about saying NO)
What a dinner that would be!

Have you ever done something sexual in a public place? Spill!

If you don’t have a personal anecdote you can “tell us about a friend!’
Well of course I have! See A Walk in the Woods, or Lead Me on for photos. For a true story, give Voyeur Voyage a go

Is there a blogger who inspired you to set up your site? Why?

I read blogs in the “sex blogging” genre for many years before I started my own. I loved the honesty of it but also the taboo aspect. It was refreshing to find that there are many others who also had a kinky side!

Now you are a blogger, what’s your ‘go to site’? What draws you to it?

I don’t have go to site. But love many for various reasons.
Ifsexmatters.co.uk – because she has many writing styles, always tells a great story, and is an amazing mentor
MLslavepuppet.com – because she lives a life that I am very interested in and I get to live vicariously through her, plus she’s nice to look at
Submissy.com – because her journey inspires so many, but also because she’s so down to earth and real. That’s hard to come by these days.
Rebelsnotes.com – because she’s not afraid to put herself out there, and damn the consequences
And last but definitely not least Purplesgem.com – their relationship is so different from mine, yet the same in a way. Purple Sole always gives great insights into their dynamic and the tribulations that come with a 24/7
lifestyle and Little Gem just may be the cutest thing in the world. Plus, their photography is never lacking!

Quick Fire questions:

Temperature or Impact Play (why must I choose?)
Chocolate or alcohol (I gave up alcohol this year)
Professional porn or amateur (genuine porn)
Stinging nettles or brambles – what are we using them for? lol
Quickie or sleepy sex

Coffee or tea
Play sport or watch sport?

How do you see your blog progressing – hopes and dreams?

I’m really enjoying the journey so far and have become more comfortable in finding my writer’s voice.
I hope the future will lead to some product reviews, maybe a guest post on another blog and by the end of 2021, I hope to put out my first full-length book (erotic fiction).
Watch for some new projects I’ve been working on, one for kinky crafts and the other for comedy (life’s too short not to laugh).

You’ve been so generous to share, let me return the favour. Tell me “tool/aspect of blogging” about which you need a better grasp.
I’ll provide some information and bloggers reading this – Please add input via the comments.

Theme, theme and theme. Designing a site is an undertaking that still baffles me. I want things to be pretty, but also functional and user friendly. What format would you all use?

For more of Mrs K, why not subscribe to her blog or follow her on Twitter. She has also provided the 1st prompt in August over on the #ForThoughtsandFiction meme, which I’d encourage you to visit for a great variety of linked content on the topic “defining moment”.
