Fake it til you make it, they suggest, so this seemed a good way to make myself feel tougher and stronger: The fighter still remains.

I am blessed. I have my family around me when challenges are thrown my way, their support is needed and valued. My writing has kept me busy and books have been a great distraction.

We all walk in different shoes, my tough is not everybody’s hardship. Compared with many I have things easy. I am grateful to those who’ve reached out offering support. I’m not alone, I feel affinity with many good friends, even in this secret space.

Embracing the new normal, lets help each other adjust.

In the clearing stands a boxer
And a fighter by his trade
And he carries the reminders
Of ev’ry glove that laid him down
Or cut him till he cried out
In his anger and his shame
“I am leaving, I am leaving”
But the fighter still remains, mmm mmm

Lyrics from The Boxer by Simon and Garfunkel

It’s OK not to be OK, this is a safe space to talk if you’re troubled too.

As I picked the lyrics I remembered it was quoted by Vlad recently! A great song, thanks for your comment.

I really like how we can still quite clearly see the shape of your boobs even though most of them are covered by that rather intimidating looking boxing glove! This is such a badass picture and I love that you’re wearing boxer shorts with it. Indeed, looking at this picture you wouldn’t think you were struggling. Fake it till you make it goes a long way. I’m rooting for you on the sideline here!

That’s my tease – glad you like it! I’m wearing my man’s undershorts here (that’s the difference in our size, they’re tight on him!) It helps to feel brave with support all around – thank you.
